Some Tips to Face TOEFL Listening Test

For most people listening test is the most difficult part of the test toefl. Because people talking in a conversation or a native speaker is very much different than speaking in Bahasa that we often hear in school or courses. They talk fast and sometimes participants didn't understand what was spoken.

Here are some strategies to answer toefl listening test that you can try:

General strategy

1. Understand the forms of command (Direction on each section (part) well before D-day).

2. Read-choice answers each question when the narrator is reading direction and example problems (Direction already read before D-day).

3. Listen to the full concentration and focus your attention on listening to conversations you are listening.

4. Maximize the ability listening the first issues of each part

PART A: Short Conversation

5. Focus on the speaker to hear both.

6. Don't panic if you do not understand every word in a conversation in full, only needs to focus the ideas and contents of the conversation.

7. If you can't understand what is being said by second speaker, choose the best answer is different from what you hear.

8. Understand the functional forms of expression (agreement, suggestion, suprice, etc.), idiomatic expressions and situations when the conversation is done.

PART B: Longer Conversation
